Stuck at home?
Here are 15 easy badges to earn at home if you’re stuck in – snow days, quarantine, sick? These ideas will give you plenty to work on.
And I want to hear from you – please share your ideas in the comments below.
First, thanks to an anonymous Badge Fairy fan for helping me put together this list of badges to earn at home! If you want to collaborate on a project, suggest an idea, or talk with other Badge Fairy fans, please join our facebook group here.
How it Works
These badges are all earnable, front-wearable, and official. They’ve been retired from the official program which is why you can’t find them in your council shop, but lucky for you, The Badge Fairy Shop contains many, many options. Vintage badges were chosen for this because:
- You don’t have to worry about them conflicting with your troop’s regular plans
- The requirements are written simply and clearly so they’re easy to follow
- Most of the items in the shop are used/refurbished, so you get to Use Resources Wisely
You are welcome to alter the activities described to fit your needs, budget, supplies, and time. They are merely suggestions. The spirit of the badge is what matters. And remember, that no matter what the singular goals is to be prepared to give service in that topic.

I didn’t write this, and I don’t know who did, but it was recommended by Badge Fairy friend Jen F. Virtually Badges has a great library of virtual badges that can be completed online. They come with instructions, videos, supply lists, and everything else you need to complete the badges at home.
Older girls may also find new things to learn in the Interest Project program. Like the retired items above, interest project patches are still official, earnable, and front-wearable by today’s girls. And you can get the book here. The patches can be hard to find, but I recommend our buy/sell/trade facebook group as a good place to start, and you may also find some at Treasure Hunters Badges.
